Portablist.com takes you on a closer look on how to clean your Raiden Fader with Deoxit F5.
Sworn enemy of your portable fader is dust. It’s unavoidable but you will have to spray your fader from time to time. We’ve seen numerous posts and rants from people who are losing it because of their experiences with popping / static sounds coming from their fader.
Here are a few simple steps on how to resuscitate your Raiden Fader.
- Breathe. Useless bitching doesn’t get you anywhere.
- Pick up that Deoxit F5 spray. (*If you don’t have it, your local electronic store should)
- Spray into the fader.
- Flip fader face down and give it a few clicks. (*Helps get the excess liquid and dust out)
- Wipe fader down.
- Repeat steps 1-5 if need be.
DISCLAIMER *Please note this may not work with other portable faders. This guide was based off personal experiences with our Raiden Fader.
PS – Store your portable in a dust free area…. Well, try to at least.
